So NC Skate is now going to be releasing our footage for our video 'Brick Magic' in multiple volumes premiering online throughout the next school year. The volumes will be titled 'The Brick Magic Archive' and will feature all of our club members and skaters from Raleigh and all over NC. The Archive will contain footage from past and present. It will be a recounting of all of the raw passion, fun-times, and dedication that NC Skate is about.

To kick it off, here is a little Bonus/Preview short for The Brick Magic Archives with club members Nate Mott, Jordan Law, Alex Isenburg, and Dylan Barrett.

North Carolina State Brainwash...

To celebrate our success from this past 2011-2012 academic year, NC Skate is teaming with Simplistix Skateboards to release our first ever limited edition club model board. Artwork was done by NCSU student and club member Ian Cochrane. This is a preview of what the board is going to look like. This is not the final product, as there are a few touch-ups to be made but other than that feast your eyes on history.
The boards will be sold at a variety of shops throughout NC(thanks for your support!) at the price of a typical board in the shop.
More importantly we will be launching a 'Kickstarter' program to raise money to mass produce these boards and other NC Skate items. The link will be up within the next couple weeks. For anyone not familiar with Kickstarter, it is a online service for small business start-up and aspiring artists, filmmakers, etc. We set a $ amount goal and a deadline where anyone can make donations to the club. There are different levels of donations, where for each amount donated you receive compensation in the form of boards, shirts, shoutouts at our events, stickers, and/or you will be put on a special donor list that will visible on NC State's Campus and online. However, if our goal is not meet by the deadline, we are dropped from Kickstarter and you will be refunded ANY and ALL donations which you had made... like it never happened... But we know that wont happen and NC Skate will execute like we always do!

Stay posted for updates and we encourage everyone to give their opinion on the graphic in the comment box below.

A.Skate Contest part 1

Marsh Creek Spring Jam 2012 from Rob Russell on Vimeo.

This video is from the park and bowl jam sessions at our NC Skate benefit contest for A.Skate, autism foundation. The contest was a huge success. Thanks to all of our sponsors and guest judges. Top shredders of the flow and bowl section were Jack Hilbish, Thomas Henson, Cody Morgan, Nolan (missing last name), Keegan Guizard, Alec Chambers, and Ian (also missing last name). The magnitude of this event could not be fully captured on film, so if you were not there, you missed out... next time, DON"T.

A.Skate Contest part 2

This video is from the street best trick street section at our NC Skate benefit contest for A.Skate, autism foundation. The contest was a huge success. The Golden Mean

As skateboarders it is sometimes hard to gain support at a college university. The Skateboarding Club at NC State in Raleigh, NC is working to make skateboarding a hot commodity at universities everywhere. Not saying that skateboarding should be a marketing gimmick or even controlled, in anyway, by the universities; but wouldn't it be sick if students coming out of high school could be like, "I want to go to this school because of the skate club there." OR "..because of their skatepark on campus." OR "...because of the skateboarding scholarship they offer." OR simply "...because of the people that skate there and the good vibes."
If your school does not have a skateboard organization, START ONE, get money from your school, and make something happen.
Invest in skateboarding.
